Processing and recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metal waste

Recovering and recycling metal waste

We buy and recycle your metal waste, because giving materials a second life is an integral part of our mission. Our flexible solutions ensure efficient waste management, with fast service that meets environmental standards.

Ferrous waste: what treatment processes?

  • Small scrap metal (sheets, drums, shelves, light scrap…) is processed on our dedicated shredding line. The material is transformed into a finished product (shred) ready to be shipped for recovery.
  • Large scrap metal, such as old machines or metal frameworks, is sorted and then cut using a shear press, hydraulic shears, or, for the largest pieces, by our torch operators. All finished products are stored at our Doniambo site awaiting export to steelmakers.
Key figure

13,200 tonnes of ferrous metals and 500 tonnes of non-ferrous metals collected (2016 data)

Non-ferrous waste: what treatment processes?

All non-ferrous metals (aluminium, copper, bronze, brass, lead, stainless steel…) are purchased based on their quality and weight. They are then sorted and recovered by our teams, either manually or mechanically, before being packed into shipping containers.

A portion of aluminium waste is recycled locally by ETV (Waste Treatment and Recovery Facility), which turns it into ingots of various grades.
